Summary:
Entry level skilled position that is responsible for operating various painting equipment without supervision.
Must be able to operate spray wash booth and notified lead/manager is adjustments are needed.
Starting level for a Painter.
Incumbents may be responsible for advanced wet painting.
KEY
Responsibilities:
Understands that the utilization of fresh air hoods must be used at all times when painting in a booth or inside of our paint kitchen areas.
Must demonstrate and maintain standard work guidelines while meeting established cycle times.
Must understand and perform the paint flush process.
Must participate in preventative maintenance activities when assigned Must participate in daily housekeeping and 6s projects to maintain an orderly work area.
Must have an understanding when adjustments need to be made to maintain good quality and production.
Must ensure proper lighting and airflow parameters are met prior to painting product.
Must understand electrostatic application and when not to use.
Other duties as assigned KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
Must possess working knowledge of paint booth and painting equipment.
Have ability to change over color modules for paint booths.
Possess troubleshooting skills Be able to work in a team environment that encourages development and results.

The employee is frequently exposed to extreme heat to 140 degrees and must possess the ability to paint a cab on average every 7 to 8 minutes.
The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts.
The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
