2K a year 8 days ago 8 days ago 8 days ago As a strategic partner, the HR Representative helps align business objectives with employees and management at the company level.
This position serves as a consultant primarily to front line supervisors on HR related issues and is key in helping assess and anticipate HR-related needs and communicating those to the HR Director and Plant Management and may support more than one site and or function.
The HR Generalist fulfills similar role as Plant HR Representative and is responsible for a wide range of daily tasks in the areas of employee relations, performance management, training, staffing, payroll, benefits, HRIS system, recordkeeping and safety and ensuring that they are in accordance with company policies and practices in addition to federal and state regulations.
In addition, the Generalist will have a much more broad scope of work, decision making and experiences.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES and TASKS:
Provides HR guidance of day to day personnel policy and procedure issues.
Creates and maintains effective staffing related processes including sourcing, interviewing, applicant tracking Conducts New Employee Orientation and ensures On Boarding Processes are complete Assist with administration of company benefit programs Assists with company- wide safety programs and is instrumental in promoting a safety conscience workforce.
Assists with identifying and developing plant wide training programs Assists with performance management related activities (coaching, counseling, career development and disciplinary actions) Helps manage and resolve employee relations issues by working with the company HR Director and the appropriate Management Representative to conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations Works closely with management and employees to foster an environment that promotes teamwork and continuous improvement in all areas of the business.

employee focus groups) Participates in staff meetings as needed Maintains necessary HRIS data and provides to plant management as needed Provides confidential and accurate recordkeeping of all HR related documents Ensures all government required postings are in place and up to date, including company communications Assists with HR and plant wide projects EDUCATION/
Experience:
High School Graduate or GED Minimum 4 years HR experience, preferably in manufacturing environment and self-directed role SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, ETC:
Competent in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook Excellent written and verbal communication skills Detail oriented with ability to be self directed High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation PHYSICAL EFFORT Ability to sit behind a desk for 8 hours.
Ability to work on a PC as required.
