Fleet Transportation Manager
The Fleet Manager is responsible for dispatching trucks in a way that minimizes cost and maximizes revenue by coordinating the truck, driver, freight, mileage and time. The Fleet Manager will also provide leadership for the drivers to include training and counseling as needed.
Responsiblities:
This position is responsible for managing and coordinating the miles per truck, revenue per truck, safety, driver retention, fuel management (MPG), dead head, service percent on fleet and payroll. This position coordinates all telephone and computer system needs using AS-400, Qual-Comm, Elogs, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. May be required to work additional hours and a rotating weekend schedule. Must meet deadlines and coordinate multiple tasks. Primarily day shift position. Office environment with call-center atmosphere.
Qualifications:
Prefer knowledge of AS-400 Operating System
Previous dispatching experience required
Good communication skills required
Must have High School diploma or GED
