Machinist needed in Greeneville, TN!
Job Description This is a First Shift Position - Pay rate $18.
75 per hour.
To qualify you must:
Be able to read, interpret, and follow direction on drawings, sketches, blueprints along with written and verbal directions, in both inch and metric formats.
Good verbal and reading comprehension skills.
Able to work with others to accomplish complex tasks requiring more than one person to complete.
Safety skills and awareness and ability to follow the rules.
Able to perform at and above an acceptable, safe level, the following activities:
Plan work on items to be machined, to minimize setup time and to provide the highest degree of accuracy and safety.
Understand and be able to interpret drawings to machine parts in logical steps in both inch and metric formats.
Familiar with and able to setup and operate large lathes, milling machines, horizontal boring mills, vertical boring mills, vertical turret lathes, horizontal and vertical band saws, radial arm and standard drill presses.
Familiar with processes to turn, face, bore, drill, tap and grind.
Familiar with and capable of turning and milling large parts, and turning and boring large tapers.
Able to use setup tools, fixtures, dial indicators, calipers, micrometers, pi tapes, sine bars, digital readouts and all other tools required for accurate machining.
Familiar with and capable, to learn and improve skills, in the setup and operation of CNC machine tools.
Provide own hand tools, up to 1-1/2 nut or bolt head sizes, micrometers, calipers and miscellaneous measuring devices up to 6 diameter, dial indicators and bases with at least 1 travel.
Able to recognize when the various machines will require lubrication, cleaning and adjustment, to provide accurately machined parts.
Perform other duties as assigned by management, to fit your skill levels.
